Our goal is to get the word out that we are now holding Indoor Studio Sessions (perfect for this time of year!) and hopefully turn our temporary home into a permanant one!

When you book with us before November 30th, your Studio Session is only $45.00! In addition we will also include a FREE 8×10 of your favorite image!
With your sitting fee you will view 6 to 15 Proofs to Order from. Your Proofs will be ready within 7 days where you will come back in for a Proofing Session at which time you will be able to view your Proofs, choose your favorites, and order beautiful, professional quality Prints and Products. While I love Star Valley I must admit, the winters here are really difficult to get through and they aren’t anywhere near what they use to be (I’ve seen pictures.) I grew up in Northeast Florida so I love and crave sunshine! I am beginning to feel trapped in my little home and “summer” couldn’t come fast enough.

I never did finish processing the 4th of July photos I took of the town of Thayne’s morning activities. However, they are finished now and with this week’s storms I thought we could all use a little reminder that we DO indeed have somewhat of a summer :)

You can view more on our facebook page here.

First up is my awfully adorable and handsome husband. He is a volunteer firefighter and loves it. Every 4th the department whips up a tasty pancake breakfast for the town complete with a special patriotic program!

For my out of towner family and friends. This is Clark Kelley Price. He lives “down the street” from us. Everybody lives “down the street” from us :) Anyway, a long time ago my father-in-law helped Brother Price with a broken leg during a pack trip of some sort. I think a boy scouts thing. My father-in-law gave him a blessing and Brother Price painted a painting of the scene. It now hangs in my parent-in-laws home and it is one of my favorites. I’ll have to snap a picture of it sometime and update this post with it later. The story in detail is pretty awesome and I love hearing my father-in-law share his experience about that day at family gatherings. If you aren’t familiar with Clark Kelley Price’s work, you can view some at his website here.

I love our new fire department! It looks awesome. These babies are getting ready for the parade. Something new they did this year was hire CrossRoadz Entertainment to play music and talk a little bit about the floats as they went by. It was great :) They also rented a bounce house and other fun games for the public to enjoy through out the day. This doubled as the Open House of the remodel being completed so the people of the town got to tour the firehouse and enjoyed some yummy food.

This was my favorite float.

Sam and Susan’s wedding ceremony was beautiful. There really is no other way to describe it. I don’t remember much of what was said, but I remember the feeling of love that just radiated from the two of them and those surrounding them.

If the Maid of Honor and Best Man were nervous about their speeches, you couldn’t tell. They delivered with grace and hilariousness.

Who wouldn’t love a double rainbow on their wedding day? They were so cute cutting the cake. So glad they got a little messy!

I LOVED their reception. It was an awesome party. Just the way a reception should be. Sam and Susan’s wedding actually reminded me of a good ol’ fashion Southern Wedding. If they were to ever move to the South they would fit right in! I’m not sure how long everyone partied, but they were still going strong after the couple left and John and I called it a night. So glad everything went so well for them. They truly deserved how wonderful it all went!

Susan had the best Bridesmaids I have ever seen. The moment she needed anything or something was out of place they jumped to take care of things. Their love and friendship was evident and they truly wanted this day to go beautifully for their friend/sister. I have seriously never seen a Bridal Party and Family members go out of their way to make the day all about the Bride. Not only did it help keep stress levels down, but it was a testament to the type of person Susan is (sweet, kind, and caring) and a testament to the type of friends and family she has been blessed with. It was so refreshing to see a Bride just being in love and excited for her day and not overwhelmed with everything that she forgot to be human. Susan also had the best hair and make up stylist – her sister in law. She did such an amazing job and was also very sweet and all about making the day special for Susan. I never knew it was possible to be a part of a wedding where everyone truly made it about the Bride and Groom, but this family sure did prove it!

I love that Susan took the time to help out her Bridesmaids get ready and she was so excited about the little touches they added to their attire.

Some of my favorite people from the wedding; Susan’s Hair Stylist and Sam’s Best Man, aka the best Brother and Sister in Law’s I have ever met. They are seriously some of the kindest and most gratitude filled people you will ever meet. Their Pasture was awesome too. He really took the time to get to know Susan and Sam so that he could give them the best wedding ceremony. It was trully amazing and although I don’t know Sam and Susan very well, you could just tell it really was a reflection of the two of them and their relationship. It even made John a little teary eye! And can I just say the Flower Girl and Ring Barriers were too cute for words. For how young they were, they did an awesome job and were so excited about it.

And a little fun for the Bridal Party. Susan’s Bridesmaids consisted of her two sisters and three childhood friends. They were all so close that you would have thought all six of them were sisters. Lots of different personalities, but lots of kindness and true friendship shined that day. The groomsmen were Sam’s brothers, brother in laws, and friends. They have a tradition where they get a photograph with their guns at each wedding. Love it :) The guys were pretty awesome themselves. Pretty laid back and all about having a good time.

I am so glad Sam and Susan had the best Bridal Party. They were awesome and really helped the day to go perfectly.

Sam & Susan Engagements

September 20th, 2011

I meant to blog this back in July, but we had a bit of a computer, Internet, and morning sickness issue so it got pushed to the back burner. Hopefully now that things are a little better I’ll be able to catch up on all the blogging I have to do before Baby W come.
